Prints charming: the patterns you need to know this season

Vintage inspired florals

Trend: Cottagecore.  

A mix of rustic splendour and rural escapism — think romantic wallpaper prints, homespun throw rugs, gingham accents and the scent of crumbly pastries baking in the oven. 

For a contemporary take on the cottagecore trend, we are dreaming of our Empire bed. The romantic floral motif complimented by curved nostalgic shapes instantly transports us to a simpler time and place. Bold stripes

Trend: Return to traditional

Stripes aren’t a new concept in the design world, but we can’t get enough of them. Classic, crisp and playful, they’re a timeless way to make a style statement. 

Meet our Bailey bed head in Henley Stripe – where classic lines meet contemporary luxury.  Finished in 100% linen stripe, the contrast piped bordered edge frames the design beautifully resulting in a crisp, classic feel . To complete the look we’ve paired the Bailey bed head with our iconic hand crafted Lucca bedside table, finished in our latest earthy shade of green, “deep bottlebrush”. 

Stripes can be a great way to create an illusion of space, similar to striped clothing on a body, a striped bed head can make a room look wider or higher than it is. Layering is key, adding texture and limiting your colour palette to just a few shades will avoid feeling cluttered or overwhelmed. 

Design detail: For a bolder look, add a piped edge in a contrasting colour to the back wall to help frame your stripes. 

Expressive patterns

Trend: Maximalism 

This one is not for the faint of heart, for the rule breakers and the lovers of custom pieces. Styling expressive patterns is all about embracing the layering of beautiful fabrics in a range of unique patterns and textures. 

Using scale to showcase your pattern will allow you to incorporate multiple prints in your bedroom without clashing.
