Reflecting on Louis: Why Fashion and Interiors Are More Connected Than Ever
The appeal of seasonal dressing has always captivated us. Sartorially speaking, outfits layered with multiple textures and fabrications to create a complete look always command more attention. Over the years we have found inspiration from fashion, building a room as one would build an outfit. Accessories lending a resemblance to trims and finishes where we can create something truly unique to our client and their home.
Our curved Louis is one of our best sellers, consistently appealing to a range of clients. We dive into the many faces of the ‘Louis’ bedhead and where the inspiration began with our founder and Director, Georgie Leckey.
“Our bedrooms are arguably the most personal room in the home, which is why we encourage our clients to inject as much of their personality and taste into their space as possible. Whether it’s through textiles, patterns or décor, it’s about crafting a space with care and intention that evolves over time, reflecting your passions and sources of comfort.” says Georgie.

in collaboration with Rebecca Jansma.
For a winter-inspired bedroom, we’ve joined forces with interior designer and stylist, Rebecca Jansma. Together, we’ve infused the bedroom with the same striking contrast that makes winter fashion so alluring.
Just as a fashion designer artfully combines different elements, Rebecca delighted in combining textiles and patterns to create a visually appealing bedroom space. Our latest Louis houndstooth fringed bedhead combines a whimsical trim with a formal houndstooth. It’s a beautiful collision of playful meets classic. Wrapped in our premium Herald foliage print, the intricate fringe detailing creates a captivating tactile contrast, building a look that is both cohesive and rich in texture. Winter has never been so irresistibly inviting.
Louis in Soft Peach Amalfi linen
Tonal dressing has been brought to the forefront in recent years with the help of Meghan Markle! Selecting pieces within the same colour palette can elevate even the most casual ensemble, adding depth and sophistication. Inspired by this minimalist monochromatic aesthetic, we have adopted a layering approach using blush hues, feminine curves, and natural materials to showcase our Louis bed in soft peach hues. Slightly varying the shades within the palette has an even greater impact, drawing attention to different elements and creating a dynamic visual experience. In this bedroom, the Maison Balzac glass bowl serves as the jewellery, adding a touch of elegance and refinement that completes the look. This method allows us to create a space that is both harmonious and visually compelling. The subtle, signature Heatherly detail of a contrast piped edge highlights the silhouette, creating a gentle yet noticeable contrast against the room’s tones.
“Our design ethos is about creating spaces that are both stylish and deeply personal, reflecting the unique tastes and personalities of our clients.” says Georgie
Louis in plaid
“When I think of Ralph Lauren, I envision rich textures, velvet contrasts, tailored suiting, and houndstooth patterns—all elements that epitomise luxury and timeless style. This inspiration was the driving force behind the Louis design launched four years ago in plaid.” says Georgie. The combination of plaid fabric and contrast leather trims perfectly encapsulates Ralph Lauren’s signature look. This design not only exudes sophistication but also offers a sense of heritage and durability. Its classic appeal ensures that it remains one of our consistent best-sellers to this day.
At Heatherly, bespoke is at the heart of what we do. We take pride in allowing our clients’ personalities to transition seamlessly from fashion and accessorising to bedroom furniture. The Louis in plaid was brought to life as a gender-neutral option, appealing to those with a refined aesthetic. This design’s versatility and elegance make it a perfect fit for anyone looking to create a sophisticated yet personal space.
In today’s world, people crave one-of-a-kind pieces that tell a story—items that are not only special but also unique to them. Our bespoke approach ensures that each piece we create is a true reflection of our client’s individuality, bridging the gap between fashion and interior design in a way that is both meaningful and enduring.
